BravoTV picks Real Housewives of DC, and another season of Real Housewives of New Jersey

It's official. Obviously The Real Housewives of New Jersey was going to go another round. But The Real Housewives of D.C. should be interesting. Wonder what is happening with a Beverly Hills version? Anyone have any news?

From BravoTV Press Release:

BRAVO ANNOUNCES SERIES PICKUPS FOR “the REAL HOUSEWIVES of D.C.” and “THE REAL HOUSEWIVES OF NEW JERSEY”

NEW YORK – October 6, 2009 – Today, Bravo announced series pickups for “The Real Housewives of D.C.” and a second season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” both set to premiere in 2010. Production for both series is currently underway. The announcements were made by Frances Berwick, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Bravo Media.

“The Real Housewives of D.C.,” the most recent addition to Bravo’s hit franchise, is set in the influential metropolitan region of Washington, D.C. A place for power and politics, Bravo scouted the D.C. area to identify the city’s alluring and discriminating residents, the women who have their pulse on the most important cultural events, political galas, gallery openings and fundraisers in Washington society. The season will bring viewers inside the lives and homes of movers and shakers in the community, all connected in different ways to the political arena. The D.C. wives, cast to be determined, will move comfortably from fundraisers to discussing everything from the economy to high fashion.

Everyone’s favorite Jersey Girls are back for a second season of table flipping drama in 2010. “The Real Housewives of New Jersey’s” freshman season ranks as the highest rated Real Housewives series ever in all demographics, averaging 2.55 million total viewers and 1.91 million adults 18-49. The series’ first season reunion was Bravo’s most watched Housewives reunion special ever.

“The Real Housewives of D.C.” is produced by Half Yard Productions LLC for Bravo. Abby Greensfelder, Sean Gallagher and Rich Calderone serve as executive producers. “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” is produced by Sirens Media, LLC for Bravo.
